Breast Massage
Breast Massage is one treatment that most women are hesitant to ask about, or even opt for. With its legal and medical issues, little evidence-based research is done about it. Some states prohibit its practice. This limit has deprived most clients from getting the wonderful and the unpublicized benefits of this therapy.
Let us look into its benefits:
Cancer Prevention. Cancer is the second most common cause of death in the US, and is projected to be number one, come 2010. Breast Cancer is currently the most common cancer among women in the US. Good news is that it is curable and preventable. An alternative choice for preventing it is breast massage. It allows better lymph and blood flow, thus flushing away toxins and waste materials in the breast. Pumping the breast in a specific direction and having the right pressure is necessary to achieve this improved-flow-effect. This is where trained therapists come in.
Decreases breast discomfort. Pre-menstrual syndrome includes a tender breast due to increased size of the milk glands plus a higher rate of milk production. Massage helps by improving the circulation that gets stagnant in the absence of breast movement.
Firmer breasts. More and more women are spending a great sum of money on breast enhancing surgeries. If only people could stop being limited by the legal issues about breast massage, then we can all share in its benefit of getting firmer and healthier breasts.
Treatment after Breast Augmentation. Among the risks of going through this procedure is the formation of a scar. The improved blood flow to the breast during massage promotes a faster healing of the surgical wound, and it makes the formed scar look natural and less keloidal.
There are proper strokes, amount of pressure, and proper oils used in this procedure to achieve its optimal effects. Biweekly treatment of six to twelve weeks is highly recommended. Let us try to be open-minded and less limited by the social issues concerning breast massage since, after all, there are more pros than cons to it.
