Don’t get Sick
The cold months have blown its chilling air this season. Cold weather plus late nights spent in holiday spree can possibly get your temperature rising. Don’t get sick this time of the year and miss the festive activities! Take these three basic pills as your front liners to battle sickness:
1. Never forget to load up on vitamin C. Trade those sodas for better drinks like orange juices and lemonades. Substitute your extra-sweet coffee drinks with a relaxing and less sugary cup of herbal tea. Physicians also recommend at least a thousand milligrams of your Vitamin C tabs a day, to complement your intake of the naturals. Most of us depend on the tabs alone. But we must not forget that the naturally present ascorbic acid (or Vitamin C) are far greater than their pharmaceutical counterparts!
2. Get your body moving. Exercise can work wonders whenever you’re feeling under the weather. Take a brisk 30-minute walk outdoors, focusing on taking in a slow and steady pattern of breathing. This type of breathing helps clear both the body and mind.
3. Take your rests and relaxation time seriously. Late night Decembers are already your holiday staples. But this doesn’t mean that you’ve got to sacrifice your rest and relaxation time. Try getting an hour or two of your power naps in between tightly scheduled parties. Make sure you set an alarm to go off by the second hour. Longer naps can actually make you more lethargic. Another good way is to get a body treat that lasts an hour or two. Visiting spas these days are sure treats for everyone as it heals both the mind and the body. Get yourself involved with a long list of rejuvenating treatment so that you are always shielded from sickness.
Load up on Vitamin C, Exercise, and Relax! Keep these three stress-busters in mind to have a better, wonderful holiday experience.
